Set Flow Status (Active or Draft)
Flows can be set to Active or Draft status using three different methods:
Using the ellipsis (⋮) menu in the Actions column on the Flows page
Using the Properties button in the Flow Details page
In the Flow Designer, via the status option next to the flow name in the toolbar
Activating a Flow
Newly created flows are initially set to "DRAFT" status. To run the flow in a live environment, you must activate it:
Method 1: Using the Ellipsis (⋮) Menu in the Flows Page
Locate the flow you want to activate in the Flows page.
Click the ellipsis (⋮) icon in the Actions column.
Select "Activate" from the dropdown menu.
Confirm the activation prompt.
Method 2: Using the Properties Button in the Flow Details page
Click on the flow name or select "View Details" from the ellipsis (⋮) menu.
In the Flow Details Page, click the Properties button.
Change the Flow Status from Draft to Active.
Click Save to apply the change.
Method 3: In the Flow Designer
Open the Flow Designer by clicking the Open button in the Flow Details Page or selecting Edit from the ellipsis (⋮) menu in the Flows Page.
Locate the status dropdown next to the flow name in the toolbar.
Change the status from Draft to Active.
The flow's status will change to ACTIVE, indicating it is ready to run in the live environment.
Setting a Flow to Draft Mode
Setting a flow to draft mode allows you to safely test and modify it without affecting the live environment. Here’s how to switch a flow to draft mode:
Method 1: Using the Ellipsis (⋮) Menu in the Flows Page
Locate the flow you want to modify in the Flows Page.
Click the ellipsis (⋮) icon in the Actions column.
Select "Set to Draft Mode" from the dropdown menu.
Confirm any prompts to apply the Draft mode setting.
Method 2: Using the Properties Button in the Flow Details Page
Click on the flow name or select "View Details" from the ellipsis (⋮) menu.
In the Flow Details Page, click the Properties button.
Change the Flow Status from Active to Draft.
Click Save to apply the change.
Method 3: In the Flow Designer
Open the Flow Designer by clicking the Open button in the Flow Details Page or selecting Edit from the ellipsis (⋮) menu in the Flows Page.
Locate the status dropdown next to the flow name in the toolbar.
Change the status from Active to Draft.
The flow's status will display as DRAFT, indicating it is safe for testing and modifications.
